KINGSWAY

The project is located in the Kingsway North neighbourhood. The neighbourhood’s plan was inspired by the Garden City principles. The prewar homes were designed in the Arts and Craft or Tudor Revival style. The area contains many of Etobicoke’s most prestigious addresses.

The home was designed for urban living in a country setting. Many mature trees were preserved and the landscape plan enhanced the green gardens. The landscaping and terraces offer privacy and plenty of afternoon and evening sun exposure. The location provides a tranquil setting for family gathering and entertaining.

To optimize the views of the gardens we planned the house in a liner and arched format. This plan provides the opportunity to maximize the contact between the interior main rooms and the gardens. The tall French doors provide a panoramic view of the front and rear gardens. The large and deep backyard features several zones for entertaining and relaxing.
