Project Description

HEYDON HOTEL CONDOMINIUMS

Heydon House was built in 1891 by Alexander L. Heydon. The Heritage building was an important landmark at the turn of the century but unfortunately the building became neglected and deterioration was threatening the survival of on the few remaining period hotels of Toronto.

The new owner approached Marzotto Architect to restore the building to its past grandeur and create a viable and sustainable project. The proposal also consisted of constructing a condominium tower in the vacant land. The former stable building is to be transformed into the condominium residences lobby and the hotel was planned for retail and condominium uses. A garden and recreational facilities are planned for the top of the hotel. The condominium towers step back from the Heritage building in a sequence of similar cubes. The tower comprises of 62 residential condominium units and is twelve storeys high.

The project is in the preliminary planning stages. Great excitement has been generated within the community. We look forward to be part of the rebirth of the “Junction” neighbourhood of Toronto.
